About us
BHAN isn’t just a rave — it’s a philosophy. A new way of raving, dancing, and being. It’s not for everyone. But only for those who want to live in present, and to be here and now.
-
At BHAN, we are fiercely committed to creating a space that is inclusive, decolonised, and rooted in care and freedom. We are fiercely:
Queer and pro-LGBTQ+ rights. We celebrate all sexualities and gender identities. Queer joy, safety, and self-expression are at the heart of our dancefloor and our politics.
Polyamorous and ENM-friendly. We respect all forms of love and connection. Whether you're monogamous, polyamorous, or exploring ethical non-monogamy, you're welcome here without judgment.
Feminist. We stand for gender equality, bodily autonomy, and dismantling patriarchal norms - both on and off the dancefloor.
Anti-ableist. We strive to make our spaces accessible and welcoming to all bodies and minds. We reject the marginalisation of neurodivergent and disabled people and work to remove barriers.
Anti-racist. We are actively opposed to racism in all its forms, especially White privilege. We uplift BIPOC voices, celebrate diverse cultural expressions, and make space for everyone to feel seen and safe.
Anti-fascist. We reject authoritarianism, imperialism, violence, hate, and exclusion. Our community is built on diversity, freedom, mutual care, and resistance to oppression.
-
As organisers, we will protect the community from people who fall into these categories.
Dickheads – if you consistently act with arrogance, entitlement, or disregard for others' emotional or physical space, this isn’t your playground.
Fascists – if you believe in authoritarian control, violence, hierarchy, nationalism, or exclusion based on identity, you are fundamentally opposed to our values.
Machos – if your masculinity relies on dominance, control, violence, predatory behaviours, women’s objectification and harassment, this community doesn’t want you.
Wreckheads – if your idea of raving is rooted in binge culture, getting wasted for the sake of it, recklessness, disrespect for the music and the other ravers, you won’t vibe here.
-
We are committed to always abiding by the law and will take all necessary measures to prevent any illegal activity at our raves.
At the same time, we operate an open harm-reduction policy grounded in scientific evidence and a deep respect for bodily autonomy.
-
Because we love to rave — but for the right reasons.
We rave for the energy, the presence, the connection. Totally immersed in the music. Surrounded by like-minded people who just get it.
We created BHAN to build a space where we can be fully ourselves — where we can let go of everything and simply be.
A space to truly be here and now.
