BHAN is the acronym of “be here and now”. But it’s more than a name - it’s our guiding principle. It’s a reminder to let go of everything and drop into the moment, to connect deeply with the music, with each other, and with yourselves. BHAN means being present and free on the dancefloor. It means raving with intention. 

Every BHANner BHANs differently — and that’s the beauty of it. Still, we all share a love for raving with closed eyes, without phones, feeling the music move through the body, leaving the outside world at the door, and focusing all our energy on being fully here, now, in the moment.

Because they pull everyone out of the moment. On the dancefloor, nothing matters but the music, your body, and the people around you. There's no need to Shazam - we’ll share the full tracklist after the event. And don’t worry about taking pictures - we’ve got photographers to capture the magic for you. Just be here and now.

We kindly ask you to put your phone in a locker — out of sight, out of mind, so you won’t be tempted. If you really cannot do without it, please keep it in your pocket or bag.

If you need to use your phone, please step out of the dancefloor - in the toilet, the smoking area, or the social area. Let's keep the dancefloor free of distractions.

Only water is allowed on the dancefloor — other drinks stay outside. Spills and sticky floors ruin the flow and the vibe. Let’s keep the dancefloor clean, safe, and feet-friendly.

Because the dancefloor is a shared space to breath, to move, and to be present. Smoke and vapour break that flow — they distract, disrupt the senses, and take others out of the moment. If you need to smoke or vape, please use the designated area outside the dancefloor.

The dancefloor is a space for presence — not for catching up on life updates or long conversations. That doesn’t mean you can’t sing your heart out or share a few words of love — those moments matter. And yes, you can tell your buddies that you need a break or a sip of water. But full-on conversations can break the flow, for you and those around you. If you need to talk, please head to the social or smoking area. Let’s keep the dancefloor free of distractions.

We will give you plenty of time before and after the music to connect with your fellow ravers. But once the music starts, and until it ends, let your body do the talking. On the BHAN dancefloor, we connect through movement, energy, and presence - not through words. Just follow these rules of common sense:

1. Never interrupt someone dancing with their eyes closed.

2. If you’d like to dance with someone, open your arms and offer a gentle smile.

3. If they dance back, it means yes. Keep flowing together, in mutual rhythm, until it feels right.

4. If they close their palms, they are kindly saying no to your invitation - and that’s totally fine.

In general, if anyone turns away or breaks eye contact, it means no — and that’s okay. Move on with grace.

Consent is silent but clear. Listen with your whole body.

It means respecting everyone’s space, body, and energy. Don’t touch, grab, or dance too close to someone without clear, enthusiastic consent. A smile is just a smile, not necessarily an invitation to talk or dance. At BHAN, consent is non-negotiable - it’s what keeps the dancefloor safe, free, and full of trust.

Everyone comes to BHAN with their own energy, needs, and boundaries. Respecting someone’s space means giving them room to dance, not bumping into them, and avoiding unwanted physical contact. Respecting their energy means being mindful — if someone seems deep in the music, don’t interrupt them. If someone’s dancing solo, don’t try to turn it into a duo. Let’s move with kindness.

There’s a difference between noticing someone — exchanging a smile, appreciating them with your friendly gaze — and staring at them like a creep. Intrusive staring makes people feel uncomfortable, objectified, or watched. At BHAN, we want everyone to feel safe, free, and unjudged. If your gaze is making someone feel uneasy, it’s not ok. Look away and let them dance in peace.

At BHAN, we celebrate love, connection, and spontaneous moments of intimacy. A kiss, a hug, a shared dance — these moments are beautiful, and they matter. Yet, the dancefloor is not a place for cruising or predatory behaviours. It’s not about seeking hookups. If you want to flirt or vibe more deeply, there's time for that before the music starts or in the social area. Let any connections grow or deepen organically.

Every event is a bit different - because we love variety. We will actively listen to our community when preparing our DJ sets. In general, you can expect music that spans from downtempo electronic all the way up to techno - the music of artists like:

Inclusion at BHAN does not mean letting everyone in - it means centering those who are usually pushed aside by oppressive behaviours, toxic egos, and reckless energy. We are proudly queer, ENM-friendly, feminist, anti-racist, anti-ableist, and anti-fascist. Our trans and non-binary siblings are welcome at BHAN. We celebrate all identities, bodies, neurodivergencies, and ways of loving.

At BHAN no one has to shrink, hide, or explain themselves. It is a space where everyone can feel safe and free to just be who they are.

We’re fed up with overcrowded dancefloors too. That’s why we cap ticket sales at around half the venue’s capacity — so there’s always room to move, breathe, and fully drop into the music. At BHAN, space is an added value, the secret ingredient to let your body talk, a precondition for being here and now.

BHAN is a space where you can rave in the way that feels right for you - as long as you respect others and the law. Some substances, like alcohol and nicotine, are legal. Others, like psychedelics, are not. Venues have no other choice but to strictly abide by UK law. Illegal substances are illegal and are not allowed at our events.

At the same time, we take a harm-reduction approach grounded in scientific evidence and care, following the example of The Loop charity. We believe in bodily autonomy - but we also know that over-intoxication can harm you, others, and the collective vibe. BHAN is about presence, connection, and awareness. Whatever your state, stay grounded, stay kind, and stay with us - here and now.

We don’t have a dress code, so feel free to come as you are.

At the same time, we warmly encourage you to express yourself through your outfit. If you’re queer, wear your queerness. If you have a favourite colour, show it off. If you love lights, shine.
