bhan for palestine was incredible: thank you! 🍉

Dear BHANners,

I just have two words for you: thank you! 😍

The only photo I took yesterday. It’s the big message board printed by our friend Graeme from RETOUCH + PRINT.

A special evening together

I’m still taking in what we shared at BHAN for Palestine yesterday. I am still speechless.

It was an incredible evening, and I wanted to write to everyone who helped make it possible - whether you joined us on the dancefloor or supported us from afar. 🙏

There is something beautiful about seeing people from such different walks of life come together on the BHAN dancefloor. Thank you for bringing your energy, kindness and openness into the space. You helped create the sense of community that makes BHAN mean so much to me and to so many other members of this community.

What stays with me is the feeling of being able to share a safe space, express ourselves freely and look after one another. Music, dance, art and solidarity brought us together, and each of you contributed something to that experience.

Fundraiser for MAP 🍉

Together, we’ve raised £180 for Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP). Thank you to everyone who donated or bought something from the fundraising table. Every contribution helped.

We still have a few posters and Palestine BHAN bottles available. If you’d like one, please reply to this email by Monday morning, 9 November, and I’ll arrange it with you.

Any additional profits will be added to the fundraiser total. I’ll then make the donation to MAP and share the final amount with the wider community.

Thank you for helping us turn an evening together into practical support for Palestinians.

If you couldn’t make it

If you registered or bought a ticket but weren’t able to join us, this thank-you is for you, too. 🧡

Plans change, life happens, and sometimes we simply don’t have the energy. I’m grateful that you wanted to be part of the evening. If you bought a ticket, your contribution helped make it possible even though you couldn’t be there.

You’re still part of this community, and I hope we’ll share the BHAN dancefloor soon.

The people who made it possible

A huge thank-you to our DJs, Paul and Nans, who played two incredible sets!

An even bigger thank-you to our team of volunteers for everything you brought to the night: Kellie, Marika, Iulian, Chloe, Marcos.

There is a lot of work behind an event like this, much of it quietly happening while everyone else enjoys themselves. Knowing that people were taking care of the space and one another made me feel safe and allowed me to be present, enjoy the evening and focus on my live writing.

That care means more to me than I can properly put into words. Thank you. 🙏

Relive a little of the night

I’ll soon be sharing recordings of the DJ sets and a timelapse of the evening, so you can revisit the music and atmosphere—or catch a glimpse if you couldn’t join us. I need a little time to get everything ready, so keep an eye out for another update soon! 🧡

Help shape the next BHAN

I’ll send a separate email to everyone who was there yesterday with a short feedback form. If you attended, I’d love to hear about your experience.

See you in December

I’m already working on our December gatherings and will share the details next week. These will be much smaller and more intimate than BHAN at the Baths, with more space to get to know one another and connect.

I’d love to see familiar faces return and welcome those of you who haven’t joined us yet.

For now, thank you for your trust, your support and the care you bring to BHAN.

Yesterday meant a lot to me, and I’m grateful we could share it.

With love and gratitude,

Giovanni 🧡
Co-Founder & Creative Director of BHAN
